A speedy romance between Tom Hudson, an American diplomat and a Bollywood actress quickly led to marriage and then shortly after, the arrival of Jolie Hudson. She was born on August 15, coincidentally on India’s Independence Day. If you were to ask her about her childhood, Jolie would reply that all she could remember of her childhood is her birthday and many kites – beautiful, colorful kites that came in all kinds of shapes and sizes. It was an Indian tradition to fly kites on Independence Day which the Hudsons always partook in for their daughter.
After the early retirement of Mrs. Hudson’s Bollywood career, staying in India was no longer necessary. She was feeling adventurous and Tom was finally feeling homesick, so after months of debate, they decided moving to the US was their best choice especially for Jolie and her education. Ideally, they hoped for Jolie to follow in Tom’s footsteps and attend an Ivy League college in the future.
Jolie attended a series of private schools in the Upper East Side of NYC since age 9, but by 16, she was shipped off to a school in Boston, MA. She was deemed unfit to be a socialite in NYC. While her peers were trying to be next ‘It Girl,’ major philanthropist, etc., etc., Jolie was simply too lazy. She was careless and extremely self-indulgent. Her parents spoiled her endlessly. While they could forgive her from straying away from her socialite path, they could not fathom their daughter not following in her father’s Ivy League footsteps and eventually set their foot down by cutting off most of her funds and sending her away in hopes of change.
During her time at BU, Jolie managed to get herself involved in a drug ring. The drug ring matured her and encouraged her to graduate with a Business Administration degree. She envisioned becoming a key player in the city’s biggest illegal drug network and eventually opening up a legitimate business.
By twenty-five, she went from party girl to secret mogul. She became more interested in being a socialite and businesswoman – all things that would advance the potential of her illegitimate business. She took major steps in getting involved, events, philanthropies, you name it. After years of networking and planning, she managed to start her own business – a nightclub. The nightclub without a doubt pushed her other business further.
Now at the age of thirty, Jolie is a successful socialite and nightclub owner as well as a key player in the city’s biggest illegal drug network. But the question is how long can she keep up with her double life?
